The Belgian police series CITY DISTRICT (78 x 50′) has been nominated for the 49th Monte Carlo Festival taking place from 7-11 June 2009.

Christian Vervaet, Lies Lahousse and Philippe Bonamie have received nominations in the Outstanding International Producer (Drama) and Outstanding European Producer (Drama) categories. For Outstanding Actor (Drama) , Guy Van Sande and Peter Van Asbroeck are up for the award, while Lien Van de Kelder and Katrien Vandendries are nominated in the Outstanding Actress Category.

The Belgian channel broadcasting CITY DISTRICT (VTM) has just commissionned 2 new seasons. Shooting of Season 5 will start in June in Antwerp.

CRAZY COW is just back from Cannes and the Belgian distribution company doesn’t feel the crisis. Mip TV has proved to be very successful. The new dramedy “Jes” seduced many French channels while the Canadian series “Sophie” attracted attention of Russia, Belgium and the Netherlands. There si also great interest for “MPU” in a.o. Italy and for the Dutch series “Vanished-Spoorloos verdwenen” will launch soon in France. CRAZY COW inked also several deals to represent companies outside of their territory.
