CRAZY COW inks new distribution deal with Eyeworks -VRT

Friday, March 21st, 2008

CRAZY COW has inked a new deal for the distribution of the Belgian series “Flikken” (130 x 52′) and “Gale Force 10” (23 x 52′).

FLIKKEN (Cops) portrays Britt and Tony and the men on their team in their professional and private lives. How the challenge of their calling, that of “fighting crime” and their work itself, affects their personal lives and relationships. How their devotion to the pursuit of perpetrators is matched only by their heartfelt compassion for the victims.
How even these seasoned cops battle with despair or are forced to admit their powerlessness. But any cop in the world will tell you that for every hazardous or heartbreaking story, there is a hilarious one waiting around the corner. In this respect too, FLIKKEN (Cops) remains a realistic, and therefore often hilarious portrayal of a cop’s life.

GALE FORCE 10 is an exciting 23-episode drama series for all audiences, based on the real life experiences of the 40th Search & Rescue squadron, an elite airforce squadron stationed in a Belgian seaside resort.
The helicopter squadron regularly makes the headlines, and will forever be associated with their unremitting rescue interventions during the disaster with the passenger ferry ‘Herald of Free Enterprise’. GALE FORCE 10 combines high tension rescue operations with an inside look at squadron life and the professional and emotional conflicts between these men and women for whom danger is only an alarm call away.

Both series are produced by Eyeworks for VRT (leading channel in Belgium). CRAZY COW will present FLIKKEN and GALE FORCE 10 as “ready made” and as “scripted format”.
